Lima bean is a green–colored bean whose size is about double that of a regular bean. It is named after Lima, Peru, who used to export a large amount of the bean in order to rid the country of them.
A fairly unexciting bean, lima bean is often forgotten. It tastes mediocre, but has a better–than–normal disposition and is best used for aesthetic purposes.
Lima Bean became an official snack on June 9th 2012.
