Kiwifruit is generally referred to as ‘kiwi’, though it should not be confused with the bird of the same name, which is not generally eaten. Kiwi is probably the most unique fruit, as the inside is colored like a vegetable (green), and the outside is covered in fur. It’s common to peel the fur off of kiwi, but despite popular practice, it’s not entirely necessary.
Kiwi is delicious. Their difficult skin often dissuades, but the offering within is fairly respectable.
Kiwifruit became an official snack on April 22nd 2012.
