Jalapeño is a popular form of chili pepper. It’s green and has many seeds inside. Jalapeño is often chopped or sliced with the intention of being added to other food, but can occasionally be found “blistering” on the hot iron skillet of discerning jalapeño connoisseurs.
Despite its intense spice, jalapeño tastes good. It works well in most food from Mexico, and performs respectively when pickled. When preparing, one should avoid touching their eyes, to avoid irritation.
Jalapeño became an official snack on June 5th 2012.
