Egg roll is undoubtedly the ‘burrito’ of China. It consists of an egg–based savory pastry that is filled with other foods, rolled up, and fried. The interior is often filled with various vegetables, sprouts (filler), and sometimes pork or chicken. It’s normally made into a hand–held size (single hand), but is occasionally made larger. Egg roll has spread throughout the Western world with much success. It would be a good starting point for finding common ground in tense political situations.
Egg roll tastes great. It’s a very fun food due to its relatively small size. Egg roll is often dipped into a sweet sauce known as ‘duck sauce’ in America, and also into a spicy Asian variation of mustard.
Egg Roll became an official snack on June 8th 2012.
