Cappuccino is a beverage prepared by mixing espresso with milk, and then topping it with foamed milk. Like most coffee creations, it has an affiliation with Italy. Cappuccino is sometimes served in a large, somewhat clumsy cup (like a prop that one might see on the sitcom “Friends”) with an abundance of foam, but has recently been served in a more refined, smaller cup, with denser foam.
Cappuccino is excellent. When made properly, it is delightful in both flavor and composition. Its presentation offers the drinker an air of sophistication, without asking for much in return.
Cappuccino became an official snack on May 13th 2012.
