Beef


Beef refers to the meat of a cow. A single cow yields a very large amount of beef, with much variety in quality. Beef is extremely popular throughout the world, although some religious groups forbid its consumption. Aside from this, the consumption of beef in America is riddled with politics, which might be an attributing factor to a recent (and slight) decline in popularity. Vegetarians avoid beef since eating it requires the death of an animal.

Taste
Beef is an extremely versatile meat. Its flavor is much like that of chicken and pork, in that it requires a great deal of seasoning (salt) to taste good. However, its desirability seems to stem mainly from its saturation of protein and fat, as well as its innate ability to synthesize with sandwiches and condiments.

Beef became an official snack on June 26th 2012.
